Southeast Broadband began life as a local, family owned company in 1970. Ownership has remained local since the beginning. Current owners acquired the assets and formed Belzoni Cable, LLC in November, 2014. Initially serving Belzoni, MS, We have expanded coverage to much of Humphreys County including Silver City, Midnight, Carter and Wolf Lake through our participation in the FCC’s Rural Digital Opportunity Fund, bringing best in class fiber optic internet to the most rural areas in Humphreys County.
In March 2019, we acquired RF Cable, serving Rolling Fork and Anguilla, MS. We have since upgraded and added internet and phone services to these markets.
Rolling Fork was devastated by a tornado in March, 2023. While rebuilding is ongoing, we have rebuilt our system as all fiber and will expand this new fiber optic network to all our coverage area in Sharkey County in 2024.
Work is ongoing to complete a fiber optic network that covers almost the entirety of Humphreys County by the end of 2026.
Finally, Southeast Broadband is the name we chose to represent what we are with our latest focus being on internet and voice services for residential and business customers, Belzoni Cable was no longer descriptive of our mission.
Belzoni Cable is now Southeast Broadband.
